School will be in Session this Friday, February 16th to Make Up a Lost Instructional Day

Parent & Guardians:

I wanted to send out a quick reminder that based on our newly revised school calendar that was approved last week by the school board, our students will need to attend school this Friday, February 16th. This day will serve as one of our eight (8) make-up days. On the other hand, our students will be out of school on the following Monday, February 19th for President’s Day. After missing school yesterday, the district will now extend its 30-minute bell schedule through Monday, April 22nd and our new last day of school will be Tuesday, May 28th.

Thank you,

John Karnes, Superintendent

Snow Day – Monday, February 12th

Parents,  Guardians, & School Employees:
Well, I have another tough call to make.  It’s starting to snow, but they are saying that it’s supposed to snow all morning and into the early afternoon. The meteorologists are still saying that we’ll get 3-7 inches before this moves out and I’m concerned about the harder snow hitting us while our buses are out picking up kids and our employees are commuting. Additionally, if it does snow that much, we may have trouble getting kids home. For these reasons and to err on the side of safety, I have decided to make today a snow day. Repeating, West Fork Schools will be closed today for instruction.

Be safe and thank you for your support.
