A Message from Superintendent John Karnes

Parents & Guardians:

The health and welfare of our students and employees is our number one priority. The pages under this tab will be updated regularly to provide our families with valuable resources pertaining to COVID-19 as well as keep everyone informed on what we’re doing as a district to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

The district’s administration will continue to closely monitor reports, information, and guidance shared with us by the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH), the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), and the Governor’s Office regarding COVID-19 and decisions for the district will be made based on this guidance.

In closing, we all know that the effects of dealing with COVID-19 for the past 18 months have created great challenges for school districts across Arkansas and our nation. Many students have fallen behind educationally and the pandemic has taken a social and emotional toll on many others. Please rest assured that our district has worked diligently this summer discussing and strategizing on how we will meet our students’ needs no matter how great they are. With your continued support and assistance and with all of us working together, we are confident that we can get the job done and have a great school year!

Yours in education,

John Karnes, Superintendent
