Building Principals

Andrea Ward
Assistant Superintendent of Schools

Andrea Ward has been serving the West Fork School District as the Director of Curriculum and Testing since 2020.

Mrs. Ward earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Level Education, a Master of Science in Education in Curriculum and Instructional Programming, an additional certification for Building Level Leadership, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Superintendency.

Her teaching career began in Bald Knob, Arkansas where she served as a middle school math teacher for three years. She then served the Searcy Public Schools, her high school alma mater, as a math specialist before taking some time off to stay home with her children.

After moving to Northwest Arkansas, Mrs. Ward served the Farmington School District as a teacher and instructional facilitator for three years before coming to West Fork.

She married her high school sweetheart, Joel, who has been serving the United States Armed Forces for almost twenty years in various roles including sniper instructor and recruiter. They live on a farm in the West Fork School District that they share with their three little girls and family members on both sides. When she is not at work, you will likely find her fishing, riding four wheelers, and sharing meals with their large family.

John Unger
Superintendent of Schools

John Unger was born and raised in Arkansas. After graduating from high school he attended the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville and earned his Bachelor’s degree in History. While at the U of A he was a student manager for the Razorback basketball team. After graduating from the University of Arkansas in 2003, Unger accepted a men’s basketball coaching position at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. While working at LSUS, he coached the number one team in the country and earned his Masters in Education. Unger spent seven years in Northwest Louisiana, three years working at LSUS and four years as an instructor and men’s basketball coach at Bossier Parish Community College. While at BPPC he worked in the Behavioral Science Department teaching a number of different classes.

In 2010, Unger began his public school teaching career in Decatur, Arkansas. During his time with the Decatur School District he has served as a teacher, coach, Dean of Students, acting principal, athletic director and alternative learning director. Unger has been a leader in school innovation for rural, diverse districts across Arkansas and has presented at several conferences on school redesign. Under his guidance, Decatur Middle School was acknowledged as an Arkansas School of Innovation in 2017. During his time at Decatur, he brought in over $200,000 in grants for students and staff. Unger’s basketball teams also experienced great success, winning three straight conference championships from 2013-2015.

In 2017 he earned his Education Specialist degree from Arkansas State University and began his journey as a school principal. Mr. Unger was also in the inaugural class of the Association of American Educators Fellowship program in 2018-2019. Mr. Unger graduated from the Master Principal Program in the Spring of 2023. He is now a sitting board member of AAMLE.

Mr. Unger has served as the principal at West Fork Middle School from July of 2019 to May of 2024. He is married to Kelly and they have two children. When he is not working he is running, playing basketball, reading a good book, or supporting kids’ success in the community.

John Crowder
High School Principal

Mr. John Crowder is currently serving his 36th year in education with the last thirteen years in the West Fork School District. Mr. Crowder came to the West Fork School District in the 2010-11 school year to serve as high school principal and continues to serve in that capacity.

Mr. Crowder and his wife, Karen, make their home in West Fork. Mrs. Crowder also works in the West Fork School District as a 4th grade teacher. She is currently serving in her 29th year as a teacher. Both are active members of the West Fork Baptist Church, where they co-teach 5-6 grade Sunday School and Mr. Crowder also serves as a deacon. Mr. and Mrs. Crowder have two children- Michael (married to Lindsey) and Nicole (engaged to Isaac Pritchet). They also have one grandson- Maddox.

Mr. Crowder is a graduate of Bearden High School’s Class of 1981. Upon graduating, he attended Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. In 1986, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education/Health & a minor in Biological Science. In May, 1992, he received his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M-Commerce.

Mr. Crowder served as a science teacher/football & basketball coach for his first four years in education and has spent the last 30 years serving as a school administrator. He has worked in the following school districts during his career- Liberty-Eylau (TX), Fayetteville, Hot Springs Lakeside, Cotter, and Ashdown before moving to West Fork.

Mr. Crowder enjoys spending quality time with his family, watching football, going to rock concerts, reading novels, and traveling with his wife.

Ashley Fulmer
Elementary School Principal

Mrs. Ashley Fulmer is in her 18th year of education and 17th year with West Fork School District. She has served the school district in multiple areas: a business education teacher, EAST Facilitator, reading interventionist, and dean of students. Mrs. Fulmer has had the privilege of working at the West Fork High School, West Fork Middle School, and is in her second year as the West Fork Elementary principal.

Mrs. Fulmer and her husband, Brad, have three children, Avari (16), Adleigh (14), and Ayden (10). Mrs. Fulmer enjoys watching Avari and Adleigh play volleyball and Ayden play baseball and football.

Mrs. Fulmer attended Greenland High School and graduated Valedictorian of her class. She then attended the University of Arkansas and received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Mrs. Fulmer spent a few years as a financial planner before going back to school to pursue a career in education. She received a Masters in the Art of Teaching (MAT) from the University of Arkansas and started working for West Fork Schools. Mrs. Fulmer loves to learn and continued her education by obtaining an education specialist degree in curriculum administration in 2019.

Mrs. Fulmer enjoys shopping, cheering on the Razorbacks, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Joli Sotallaro
Middle School Principal

Joli Sotallaro has been serving in Arkansas Public Schools for the past seven years. She received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Arkansas and has taught English, math, and social studies at the middle school level and American history at the high school level. She returned to college in 2018 and received a Master of Science Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University in 2019.

As a passionate educator, Joli advocates for the idea that all students can learn at a high level and works to support teachers as they build and create real-world learning experiences that are relevant and meaningful. She is currently serving in her second year of administration in West Fork working with teachers and students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Joli was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and has lived in Northwest Arkansas for the past 13 years. When she is not in the classroom or reading, she is spending time with her husband, Patrick, and two wonderful children, mostly likely gathered around the kitchen table enjoying good food or a board game.

Justin Rasnick
K-12 Assistant Principal

Mr. Justin Rasnick came to the West Fork School District during the 2022 – 2023 school year. He previously served as a middle school principal in the Sheridan School District and in several special education teaching and administration roles at the Arkansas School for the Blind. He is currently serving as the Assistant Principal for the Middle School and High School.

Mr. Rasnick is married to Alyssa Rasnick since 2012 and has three children Avery (8), Mallory (5) and James (2). Furthermore, Mr. Rasnick is a high school graduate of Conway High School, class of 2001. Upon graduating, Mr. Rasnick went on to receive a bachelor’s degree as well as two master’s degrees from the University of Central Arkansas. He is currently working towards his Education Specialist.

Mr. Rasnick is very passionate about his family and spending time with his wife and kids riding bikes and going on nature hikes. He also enjoys all types of biking and you might see him from time to time riding his road bike around the beautiful mountains of West Fork!
