School Board Minutes
September 11, 2006
There was a regular meeting of the West Fork School Board on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the board room. Those present were Jerry Boyd, Karen Daugherity, Tim Helder, Deborah Harnish and Daryl Quinton.
I. The meeting was called to order by President Jerry Boyd.
II. Pledge of Allegiance and prayer were led by Tim Helder.
III. The board toured the facilities.
IV. Motion by Tim Helder second Daryl Quinton to approve the minutes of the August meeting. Motion carried. (5-0)
V. The board reviewed the financial statement.
VI. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Tim Helder to submit an Application to State Board of Education for a refunding bond issue and to employ Beardsley Public Finance. Motion carried. (5-0)
VII. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Deborah Harnish to approve the budget for 2006-07.

VIII. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Tim Helder to approve the addition of a Reduction
In Force Policy for the Classified Personnel Policy Handbook. Motion carried. (5-0) See attached.
IX. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Karen Daugherity to approve removal of HIV policy from both Classified and Certified Personnel Policy Handbook. Motion carried. (5-0)
X. Motion by Tim Helder second Karen Daugherity to approve the tuition agreement with Northwest Arkansas Regional Technical Center. Motion carried. (5-0)
XI. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Daryl Quinton to approve the tuition agreement with Elizabeth Richardson Center. Motion carried. (5-0)
XII. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Tim Helder to approve the tuition agreement with Progressive Plastic and Packaging, Inc. Motion carried. (5-0)
XIII. Motion by Tim Helder second Daryl Quinton to approve the transfer of Cassie Yancey and Victoria Yancey from Prairie Grove. Motion carried. (5-0)
XIV. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Deborah Harnish to approve the transfer of Breanna Clarke and Mary Clarke from Fayetteville. Motion carried. (5-0)
XV. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Karen Daugherity to approve the transfer of Maritess Keyes and Bryce Keyes from Lincoln. Motion carried. (5-0)
XVI. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Karen Daugherity to approve the transfer of Ginger Thompson to Pr. Grove. Motion carried. (5-0)
XVII. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Karen Daugherity to approve the resignation of Stephanie Phillips as Special Ed Aide. Motion carried.
XVIII. Motion by Tim Helder second Deborah Harnish to approve the resignation of Vickie Shadrick as Food Service worker. Motion carried. (5-0)
XIX. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Daryl Quinton to accept the resignation of Judy Frazier as Food Service worker. Motion carried. (5-0)
XX. Motion by Tim Helder second Deborah Harnish to accept the resignation of Diana Burnett as Special Ed Aide. Motion carried. (5-0)
XXI. Motion by Tim Helder second Daryl Quinton to accept the resignation of Kristi Bourgious as Special Ed Aide. Motion carried. (5-0)
XXII. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Karen Daugherity to accept the resignation of Doug Cantrell as Transportation Supervisor and Bus Driver effective Oct. 20, 2006. Motion carried. (5-0)
XXIII. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Tim Helder to approve hiring Ed Stout as Bus Driver. Motion carried. (5-0)
XXIV. Motion by Tim Helder second Karen Daugherity to hire Stephanie Phillips as Custodian. Motion carried. (5-0)
XXV. Motion by Tim Helder second Deborah Harnish to approve hiring Kandy Lichty as Special Ed Aide. Motion carried. (5-0)
XXVI. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Tim Helder to approve hiring Virginia Slaughter as Food Service worker. Motion carried. (5-0)
XXVII. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Karen Daugherity to hire Michelle Treat as Food Service worker. Motion carried. (5-0)
XXVIII. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Daryl Quinton to hire Jess Goodwin as Special Ed Aide. Motion carried. (5-0)
XXIX. Motion by Tim Helder second Karen Daugherity to hire Samantha Everett as Special Ed Aide. Motion carried. (5-0)
Items discussed under other included-
-The Annual Meeting to the Public. No action was taken at this time.
- Ticket prices for football will be $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for students for all games, high school and junior high. This is a conference decision.
-The board president and superintendent signed a Compliance Letter regarding Teacher Reimbursement for Classroom Supplies and the Personnel Policy and Salary Schedule Signature Page to be sent to the State Department.
