School Board Minutes
December 10, 2007

There was a regular meeting of the West Fork School Board on Monday, December 10, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in the board room. Those present were Daryl Quinton, Deborah Harnish, Karen Daugherity, and Jerry Boyd. Tim Helder was absent.

  1. The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Daryl Quinton.

  1. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Daryl Quinton and prayer by Karen Daugherity.

  1. Motion by Jerry Boyd second Deborah Harnish to approve the minutes of the November meeting. Motion carried. (4-0)

  1. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Jerry Boyd to approve the financial statement. Motion carried. (4-0)

  1. Mr. Thaler and Mr. Karnes gave their principals’ report. Mr. Skelton was absent. The elementary has received $3500.00 in grants which they are going to use for a rain garden.

  1. Mrs. Barrett gave the superintendent’s report.

  1. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Karen Daugherity to approve a purchased service contract of $5400.00 with Achievement Advantage for facilities consulting. Motion carried. (4-0)

  1. Motion by Jerry Boyd second Karen Daugherity to approve an architectural contract with Hight-Jackson Associates. Motion carried. (4-0)

  1. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Deborah Harnish to approve the competitive bids process for the high school classrooms addition. Motion carried. (4-0)

  1. Motion by Jerry Boyd second Karen Daugherity to approve the transfer of the following students:
    Kristi Ann Mason to Greenland
    Jessica Arthur from Fayetteville
    Tiffany Cramer from Farmington
    Motion carried. (4-0)

  1. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Jerry Boyd to approve the attached resolution appointing disbursing officers. Motion carried. (4-0)

  1. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Deborah Harnish to adjourn. Motion carried. (4-0)
