School Board Minutes
July 16, 2007
There was a regular meeting of the West Fork School Board on Monday, July 16, 2007, at 7:00 pm in the board room. Those present were Karen Daugherity, Tim Helder, Jerry Boyd, Daryl Quinton, and Deborah Harnish.
- The meeting was called to order by president Karen Daugherity.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Karen Daugherity and prayer by Daryl Quinton.

Motion by Jerry Boyd second Tim Helder to approve the minutes of the June regular and July special meeting. Motion carried. (5-0).

Motion by Tim Helder second Deborah Harnish to add the Bullying Policy to the handbooks. Motion carried. (5-0)

The principals’ gave their reports.

Motion by Daryl Quinton second Jerry Boyd to approve the handbook changes for each school. Motion carried. (5-0)

Mrs. Barrett gave the superintendent’s report.

Motion by Deborah Harnish second Tim Helder to approve the transfer of Jared Satterthwaite to Fayetteville. Motion carried. (5-0)

Motion by Tim Helder second Jerry Boyd to approve Arkansas Occupational Health Clinic in Springdale as Workers’ Compensation physician. Motion carried. (5-0)

Motion by Daryl Quinton second Jerry Boyd to approve Vicky McClelland as District 504 Coordinator. Motion carried. (5-0)

Motion by Tim Helder second Deborah Harnish to approve the resignation of Clara Smithson, high school cafeteria worker. Motion carried. (5-0)

Motion by Tim Helder second Daryl Quinton to approve the following hirings:
- Iris Leonard, high school cafeteria manager
- Lea (Shelly) Porter, interim middle school teacher
- Cayce Hanley, middle school teacher
- Laurie Lackey, bus driver
- Robin Killcrease, interim elementary teacher

Motion by Jerry Boyd second Deborah Harnish to approve Deborah Hughes as Jr. High cheerleader coach as well as 7th grade. Motion carried. (5-0)
